It is a listing without a store: same card, same screenshots, same first conversation — except the button opens a tab instead of a download. Free to start, no card, nothing added to your phone.

02What it actually costs you
03What it does
Six things the browser version gets right that the installed kind cannot.
Everything a store page gives you — the card, the screenshots, the description — and then a tab instead of a download queue.
No store account touches it, so there is no receipt, no subscription row and no icon sitting on a home screen someone else can see.
Close it, come back on a laptop, and the names, plans and running jokes are still there instead of resetting to a blank screen.
Softer, drier, blunter. You set it while you are talking and the very next message answers in the register you asked for.
Android, iPhone, an old laptop at work. The same URL opens the same conversation, because none of it lives on the device.
Each one has a temperament and a pace you can read before you commit, so you are choosing a personality rather than a thumbnail.
04Who is on the roster
They differ in pace and temperament rather than in hair colour. Read the one that sounds like a conversation you would actually have.

Runs the late shift at a community radio station and talks like the microphone is still open.

Restores furniture nobody else wants. Sends photographs of the ugly stage and asks you to guess the ending.

Second-year architecture student who argues about buildings the way other people argue about football.

Emergency-room nurse. Blunt, unshockable, and the first person to notice you have not eaten today.

Plays bass badly on purpose, cooks properly by accident, and keeps a list of places she will take you.

Translator who thinks in three languages and picks the exact word for what you failed to say.
05How it works
One tap on the age notice. The roster loads immediately — no email, no store account, no waiting on a download bar.
Every character carries a written temperament and a pace. Open the one that reads well and the first message is already waiting.
Bookmark it and come back when you feel like it. Context carries over, and the tone stays wherever you last set it.
06Our verdict
We are an affiliate, so the marks are broken out instead of averaged into a single star rating you cannot check.
Age notice, roster, first message. No account wall before you have seen anything, and no installer at any point.
Written temperaments hold across a long thread. Push hard against one and it will occasionally soften rather than push back.
Names and running jokes come back on their own. Fine detail from weeks ago is patchier than the recent thread.
No contacts, no photo of you, no store listing. The upgrade is labelled before you choose it rather than after.
Four criteria we can check from the outside, scored by hand, averaged and rounded to one decimal. We are an affiliate of the app, which is why the criteria and the marks are printed here instead of a single number.
07In depth
The install step is not a formality. It is the part that leaves a trail, and it is the part a web app removes entirely.
A girlfriend ai app from a store has to pass through an account you already use for everything else. That means a receipt, a subscription row, a restore-purchases list and an icon on a home screen that other people occasionally hold. None of that has anything to do with the conversation you actually wanted — it is overhead the distribution model forces on you.
Opening the same product in a tab changes the trade honestly rather than magically. You give up push notifications and the offline cache; you get a product with no install trail, no store review queue between an update and you, and no device that has to be the device. On a shared laptop that swap is worth far more than a notification badge.
What is left is the part worth judging: whether the characters hold their temperament over a long thread, whether the memory comes back on its own, and whether the upgrade is honest about what it costs. Those are the four things scored in our verdict above, and they are the reason this page recommends a browser link instead of a listing.
